September - Start of a New Year

Who else feels that September, rather than January, is the start of a new year? It's likely because here, in North America, September is the start of the school year, and those of us who grew up starting back to school in September are used to getting ready for a brand new start this month.

For me, it's even more personal as my birthday falls on September 1st, so September is truly a brand new year for me!

I have always loved this month, as the weather turns cooler, schedules become more firm, and everything seems to get back to normal. There's new fall clothes in the stores, there are many new courses to choose from online, and you can finally assess whether your gardening trials over the summer were a complete failure or success.

All in all, it's a time to refresh, make plans, set goals and focus on finishing the calendar year strong! How are you handling it?
